We don’t always know why we go through hard things. Painful things. Depressing things. Heartbreaking things. Sometimes, there is a “reason” at the end, and we understand. Sometime there isn’t, and we are left wondering why. Why did this happen? But more importantly, why did God let this happen?

He (Jesus) looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy.

And as they went… they were cleansed. They weren’t healed immediately. They were healed after they started to do what they had been told. That required faith!

This poem came to me after my divorce. I put on a brave face in public, but fell apart at home. Everyone kept telling me how strong I was; if they only knew. I guess now they do.
