Faith in Action

Luke 17:14
He (Jesus) looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy.
🧐

And as they went… they were cleansed. They weren’t healed immediately. They were healed after they started to do what they had been told. That required faith!

Later, Jesus told the one who came back to thank him, “Your faith has made you whole.”

It’s good to have faith, but oftentimes, we have to put action behind it to receive the answer we are praying for. The bible also says, “Faith without works is dead.”

What is God telling you to do today?

  1. Not oftentimes, but all times our faith must be wedded to our actions. Without that compunction our ‘self’ nature will make excuses and prevent faith actions. This nullifies our faith. We need to be diligent in our obedience to Jesus at all times and give absolutely no option for ‘self’ to wiggle out. Faith is a powerful aspect of our spiritual growth. We cannot take it lightly.
