Dave Ramsey Would Disapprove

Let me start off by saying- I love Dave Ramsey. I have read some of his books, follow him on Instagram, and use the EveryDollar app to track my budget. I love how he’s not afraid to talk about his faith and encourages others to pay tithes/give ten percent to charity. That being said, I don’t agree with a few things.

Bittersweet Memories

I was at work today, minding my own business, when the secretary started playing The Judds in the front office. Immediately, I began getting flashbacks of growing up in Texas.

The Judds was the first concert I ever attended. I must have been in first or second grade. I remember being so far away from the stage that we had to use binoculars to see anything! It was a time that I will never forget. Wynonna was standing in one place, playing the guitar while her mother, Naomi, danced around the stage singing. To my young mind, Naomi must have been the daughter since she was dancing around. My mother just laughed at my confusion.

Time Waits for No Man

I haven’t written anything in a while. Sometimes I think a lot but forget to write anything down- then the thoughts are gone as quickly as they came.

Lately I’ve been thinking about age- my age, my parents’ ages, my kids- and how did we all get so old?!

Just a Memory

I remember my first friend in kindergarten, Kelly Veach. I also remember my first crush at five years old, Scotty.

Carry

I remember once at Six Flags, waiting in a line for 45 minutes or so. I was about 14 years old, and there was a boy named Carry that my cousin and I were flirting with.
